Limited to players in the Daily Sentinel West Chapter Junior Championship:
This qualifying site is limited to those players who have registered to compete in the Daily Sentinel West Chapter Championship. The first round of the Daily Sentinel will be used as the qualifying round. Players who sign up for the CGA qualifier and are not registered for the Daily Sentinel will be moved to another CGA qualifying site on a space available basis. There is NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule!
If a player qualifies for the Junior Match Play Championship during the first round of this event and then subsequently withdrawals from the Daily Sentinel without reason his registration into the CGA Junior Match Play Championship is subject to rejection.

There will no longer be two flights in the junior match play championship, instead there will be a single 64 player match tree with a 36 hole final.

Age Eligibility:
Open to CGA members through the summer immediately following graduation from high school, who have not reached their 19th birthday on or before the last day of a tournament (July 17, 2009).

Championship Format:
Round one is a stroke play qualifying round. The low 64 players will advance to match play. If entered the defending champion will be the number one seed and will not need to qualify. 32 players will not advance to match play, there is no refund for players who do not advance. All play is at scratch.

Qualifiers:
All non-exempt players must compete in one of the available qualifiers. The cost to qualify is $50. If a player qualifies for the championship he must pay the remaining championship balance of $65 by Thursday, July 9th or the player will forfiet his spot in the championship to the first available alternate.
The number of qualifiers allocated to each qualifying site will be determined after the registration deadline. Allocations are based on three variables (1) the overall number of competitors attempting to qualify for the championship, (2) The field size of each qualifier, (3) the number of total qualifying spots available for the championship proper.

No automotive transportation is allowed for this event. A player may accept a ride from a rules official if it will help to speed up play.
