Qualifiers:
All non-exempt players must compete in one of the available qualifiers. The cost to qualify is $90. If a player qualifies for the championship he must pay the remaining championship balance of $110 by Monday, August 11th or the player will forfiet his spot in the championship to the first available alternate.
The number of qualifiers allocated to each qualifying site will be determined after the registration deadline. Allocations are based on three variables (1) the overall number of competitors attempting to qualify for the championship, (2) The field size of each qualifier, and(3) the number of total qualifying spots available for the championship proper.

Championship format:
72 holes of stroke play, there will be a cut after 36 holes to the low 40 players and ties for the final two rounds. All play is at scratch. No refunds for players who withdrawal during the championship or fail to make the cut.

Walking Only Event:
The 2008 CGA Amateur Stroke Play Championship will be a walking only event! Caddies are allowed in all stages of the event. Automotive transportation will only be allowed in qualifying rounds. |
